Joy Club - October Celebration

What is Joy Club?

Joy Club is a recess for adults, blending guided activities with surprise and serendipity. Each month, we explore a new seasonal theme.

What will we be doing?

Move – playful games and spontaneous activities that spark laughter and joy
Make – try new things, play with materials, and see what emerges
Nature Connection – gather in beautiful outdoor spaces, grounded in the land
Give – offer your creation or presence as part of something bigger
Play – lean into the silly, the surprising, and the belly laughs

Each month is a little different, shaped by who shows up and the season’s theme, but you can always count on leaving feeling lighter, nourished, and more connected.

Who is it for?

Joy Club is for anyone, whether you’re feeling light and playful, a little weighed down, or somewhere in between. You don’t need to show up “happy” to belong here. This is a space that welcomes all moods and all people. This is a gentle practice in showing up authentically and living fully in the moment, with the support of the group and the safety of the space.

October Gathering

This month, Joy Club brings all five elements of a Joy Practice into one playful, heart-filled evening. Together we’ll move, make, nature, give, and of course—shenanigan.

Move
We’ll see what unfolds here, letting the rhythm of the evening guide us.

Make
Craft your own whimsical pumpkin fairy house. Supplies provided, magic encouraged. I have a special keep-sake to bring home.

Nature
We’re gathering at Boyer’s Orchard, a space rooted in beauty and calm, surrounded by apple trees. We’ll circle up in the garden, cozy by the bonfire.

Give
Your pumpkin fairy house will become part of something bigger, donated to the orchard’s first annual Fall Festival the following weekend. Families will wander through the orchard, following a magical storyline woven together by our creations.

Play
Ever dreamt of posing as a ghost in an orchard and playing around in the tress? Here’s your chance! Who knows where this will lead.

Register

This is my very first Joy Club, and honestly, I just want to experience this idea alongside a cool group of humans. If this gathering sparks something in you and you feel moved to give financially in return, that support is always welcome but not expected.
